You will get reliable advice from veterinarians on good nutrition and health issues; pet training tips, and an opportunity to benefit from the experience of a range of experienced and expert contributors, compare the resources of the various branches of the pet industry and to share the joy and anecdotes of fellow pet owners. </p> <p><img src="images/blankframe.gif" width="220" height="220" align="left">I do not sell anything on this website. I have simply collected together a variety of views from people in the pet industry, veterinarians, trainers, breeders and animal nutritionists, all with first hand experience in the pet care industry and from whom you are likely to find useful information relevant to your pet. If you have a problem with any aspect of caring for your pet you can be sure that you are not alone. If there is a solution to your problem you are likely to find it in these columns of articles and news items. </p> <p>I might, here and there, point out the availability of a product or pet accessory that may help you. I have no axe to grind on any products whose adverts I have chosen to show and we, at <em>love your pet</em> do not necessarily endorse any claims made for their effectiveness. </p> <p>The website is in three sections, cats, dogs and exotic pets. People often portray themselves as cat people or dog people. We at <em>Love Your Pet </em> love them both. They are certainly quite different animals; we say <em>vive le difference </em>! </p> <p>Dogs are faithful, loyal and constantly seeking attention and approval – and exercise. Cats are more aloof; they are not so demonstrative and open showing their emotions. But it is all a sham. They are just as loyal, just as loving; they simply like their own space and lots of time out from us. They will find a quiet spot away from us and sleep or snooze hours away in isolation. </p> <p>The section on exotic pets covers mainly birds and aviaries, fish and aquariums and other small animal pets such as small reptiles, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, ferrets and others. We do not encourage bringing animals in from the wild and expecting them to adapt to and enjoy a domestic environment. But exotics hand-reared from birth can be great fun, especially for children, and excellent training for them to learn the responsibilities as well as joys of keeping pets. </p> <p>I hope you enjoy the site and find something useful here. You might have an anecdote or piece of advice to pass on yourself. I would love to hear from you. You might find that some advice or opinion expressed here does not concur with your personal experience.
